Steve's New Chapter (hopefully not the end of the book)

 Today was A LOT of traveling. 6 am flight out of AZO to Detroit, couple hour layover then 4 hour flight to SLC. Tip: if you upgrade to Comfort+ seats on Delta, make sure it's not the last row of those seats because if it is the people behind you have the  economy seats with no leg room. So how do they manage with such little leg room, well I'll tell you, they put their knees right into the back of the Comfort+ seats, which then makes them not so Comfort+. Once in Salt Lake we went to the car rental, got the paperwork and headed out to the parking structure when we noticed that we didn't have our luggage, small detail (we are not used to checking bags) Then it was on to Moab. After a couple of stops we made it there around 5:30. We were lucky enough to find a hiking trail right behind the place we are staying, called Hidden Valley Trail.  Today was a little bitter sweet. I said goodbye to this great group of people  that I have been lucky enough to work with the last 4 1/2 years. It was a bit surreal to shut down my computer for the last time (actually that may have been the first too). We leave for Utah 5:30 am tomorrow morning.😴

 Here I sit on the eve of my retirement day. Tomorrow I say my goodbyes, finish packing and at 0 dark thirty the next morning Charlene and I depart for the Mighty Five in Utah. Ten glorious days with something Michigan hasn't doled out much this year....sunshine (and warmth). Fasten you seatbelts because it's going to get adventurous.🙋
